Schoology
This blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT about previous T3PP results. Specifically 30/118 in the hardware list. I picked the Schoology tool as I have never heard of this website or tool in general. I wanted to get more educated on this tool as it may become useful to me in the future.
Schoology allows access to course materials anytime, anywhere, for teachers, students, and parents. Access to Schoology means students and teachers have access to course material anytime and anywhere they have an internet connection, including on snow days, after school, and sick days.

Lost a worksheet or project outline? Not a problem for students whose teachers post course materials on Schoology.
Versatility
This technology is very versatile as it is using several tools within the technology. The following are things such as recording and watching video lessons/projects, incorporating third-party apps, building standards-aligned assessments, and utilizing the online grade book to provide rapid and ongoing student feedback. These are ll very useful and very versatile to being used in the classroom to help in several ways.
Likelihood of Using
I can see myself using this in the classroom as a teacher this could become very useful to me in the long run especially with all the lesson planning this would work very well as a teacher. Younger students would not be able to work on this in my opinion as it looks like it is something that older students would use rather than younger students.
Course Connection
For me I can see this being used in our classroom and how it is referred to a few things we have learned in the classroom already. This is useful information when we are learning how to incorporate technologies to our future teaching classrooms when preparing for future use. This is a great example of things to look into when using it in a classroom.

ReplyDeleteI have never heard about Schoology so I am excited to learn more! That is neat that Schoology serves as a place where all those in the education world can access course materials at any point in time. It sounds like Schoology is simple to use overall. That is very awesome that there are recordings, third party apps, and even assessments that are aligned to standards in this technology. I could definitely see myself using this in the future as well! Great post!
Hey Alondra, Schoology seems like a very resourceful to especially for students who often miss many days of school. You would be capable of sending them the lessons from that day or them being capable of accessing it independently. This tool seems to have a ton of versatility and convenient features for a teacher. Overall, this seems to be a great tool and very good alternative to many other because of the variety it offers you to do.
