GoNoodle

This blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT about previous T3PP results. Specifically 30/118 in the hardware list. I picked the GoNoodle tool as I have never heard of this website or tool in general. I wanted to get more educated on this tool as it may become useful to me in the future.

GoNoodle is a series of web-based videos, games, and activities focused on introducing short bursts of physical exercise into the classroom. For children of all ages who need to burn up energy to concentrate on learning, this is a simple solution.

Ease of Use
Educational tool geared toward K-5 that is designed to encourage movement throughout the day. GoNoodle does this with fun videos and interactive activities. These videos and activities are organized by activity type and topics, including social-emotional learning and mindfulness, sensory and motor skills, and academic subjects such as math, science, ELA, social studies, health, music, reading practice, and Spanish. Activities include stretching, exercise, guided dance, exercises that pair students with partners, and fun competitions.

Versatility
The use of this technology tool is very versatile as it can be used in several ways. A few would be videos and activities that are split into topics like math, reading, music, and science. These are also very hands on with providing exercising activities to get students moving and apart of all of the activities.

Likelihood of Using
GoNoodle is very likely to be used when I am teaching as it is specifically for students k-5 and it more used for younger students. I can see myself being able to use this for several instructional topics in the classroom while being able to make students interact and get moving. I think being able to see all the fun videos and little monsters will be such a fun a nice way for students to be able to get attention on it.

Course Connection
I think that GoNoodle is very similar to a few topics we have been talking about in the classroom. It uses several different technologies as well as several options that have been able to get students to learn better as well in a fun source. I can see this in a SAMR view point as it is interactive in several points and can be well understanding by pointing out several fun ways to do so.

  1. Hi Alondra!

I have used GoNoodle while at work and the younger students love this program. This program has many different subject areas that you can use from math to science to reading. There are videos of fun movements or fun activites for the students to do. This is a great program to use especially for a brainbreak for younger students. I have notived that teacher use this program all the time, especially for it being super easy to use and navigate. I think as a future teacher, I would use them program alot in my classroom. Great post!
